Pt| Muito mais do que uma edição, este lançamento marca um momento, um novo passo na forma como crio e me aproprio do que está à minha volta.

Quase num passo lógico, incorporo agora nas minhas narrativas plásticas um novo material – o cimento. Talvez seja este o elemento mais comum no dia-a-dia de qualquer pessoa em qualquer metrópole; esse elemento que permitiu o crescimento deste ecossistema complexo, a que chamos cidade, numa lógica onde só, ou quase só, existe espaço para a adição.

CONCRETE FACE nada mais é do que um rosto anónimo, um cidadão qualquer, quem sabe até, um reflexo de nós mesmos. Um rosto retalhado pelo peso da cidade, uma expressão congelada entre edifícios, chaminés e publicidade, um olhar preso num habitat que paradoxalmente se afunda na própria matéria que o forma, o cimento.

En | Much more than an edition, this launch marks a moment, a new step in the the way I create and appropriate what is around me.

Almost in a logical step, I now incorporate into my visual narratives a new material – the concrete. This is perhaps the most common element in the day-to-day of anyone in any city; this element that allowed the growth of this complex ecosystem, what we call the city, in a logic where only, or almost only, there is space for addition.

CONCRETE FACE is nothing more than an anonymous face, any citizen, maybe even, a reflection of ourselves. A face shredded by the weight of the city, an expression frozen between buildings, chimneys and advertising, a gaze caught in a habitat that paradoxically it sinks into the very matter that forms it, cement.
