En | En | HABITAT, “Place whose physical and geographical conditions are favorable to the life or development of a species”.
Contrary to the definition of habitat, the three works that make up this series present a fatalistic vision of a world in deep decline. The urban agglomeration of MEGACIDADE increases in a logic where there is only space for addition. What was once the lungs of the world is now a CONCRETE FOREST. A society tied to oil is consuming the world until the LAST DROP.
Submerged in these dystopian and maximalist “habitats”, which reflect the presence of modern man and his unruly way of life, a frozen figure emerges that centralizes the scene. His perplexed look clashes with ours, with the strength of someone who wants to tell us something, we are face to face with our fellow man, as if it were a reminiscence of our past that persists in inhabiting an increasingly inhospitable and hostile.

Contrariamente à definição de habitat, as três obras que compõem esta série apresentam uma visão fatalista de um mundo em profundo declínio. O aglomerado urbano da MEGACIDADE aumenta numa lógica onde só existe espaço para a adição. O que um dia foi o pulmão do mundo é agora uma FLORESTA DE BETÃO. Uma sociedade presa ao petróleo vai consumindo o Mundo até à ÚLTIMA GOTA.
Submersos nestes ‘’habitats’’ distópicos e maximalistas, que refletem a presença do homem moderno e da sua desregrada forma de vida, surge uma figura congelada que centraliza a cena. O seu olhar perplexo choca com o nosso, com a força de quem nos quer dizer alguma coisa, estamos frente a frente com o nosso semelhante, como se se tratasse de uma reminiscência do nosso passado que persiste em habitar um Mundo cada vez mais inóspito e hostil.
